This page is dedicated to the video game Barbuta, one of the 50 titles included in UFO 50, a remarkable mock retro game anthology from the makers of Spelunky and friends.

A primitive adventure game not dissimilar to Metroid or the lesser-known MSX title, The Maze of Galious, Barbuta is just as obtuse. After progressing through 40 rooms, I eventually hit a wall. Not wanting to read a guide, I put together this map from screenshots in a final attempt to complete the game. It worked. After compiling and reviewing the map, I was able to progress and complete Barbuta having discovered all 9 items and all 64 rooms. I also managed to secure the cherry disk with a runtime of 00:10:33:632. If you're not as willing as I was to sink tens of hours of your life into completing this excellent adventure, this map should offer more than enough help to progress on your quest for liberation.
